2021_10_30 Larpool Hall, Ruswarp and Sneaton ‘B’ Walk

Leader : Marg          Distance 8 miles

10 of us set off from Larpool along the Cinder Path towards Whitby. We left the track taking the Esk Valley Walk path towards Ruswarp. We followed the path along the road then to the railway line just in time to catch a glimpse of a steam loco. a short time later we left the Esk Valley path and headed north over the fields towards Ugglebarnby. We spotted the ‘A’ walkers in the distance as we headed for the same road they were taking. Here it started raining quite hard so it was on with the waterproofs.

A walk along the road took us to the lovely village of Sneaton where we had lunch sheltering in the church porch. Soon after lunch the weather improved and we had some sunshine. We made our way back to Larpool through the woods with some lovely autumn colours passing a little waterfall then back along the Cinder Path
