Leader:  Elaine         Distance 8 miles

Another lovely day for a walk around North Yorkshire.  Our walk started in Crathorne village where traffic since 1975 is much reduced after the building of the A19 new dual carriageway.  Our route took us on a variety of field paths and tracks over to Hutton Rudby where we had lunch on one of the 6 village greens. Shame we did not have more time to explore the village further as it has a long and interesting history.

Welcome to Eric and Julie both of whom walked with us for the first time today and we hope to see them both again soon.

As the pics show we wondered whether one of our party was wearing eau de parfum horse today as we seemed to attract a lot of 4 legged friends at elevenses!

Thanks Maz for these great pics.

Post walk drink in the Crathorne Arms where we were pleased to meet up with Ian again.

Though I led the walk today, the route was devised and given to me by Nigel and Kate who had explored the area together last year during lockdown.  Many thanks to them for sharing this and few other local walks with me.
