Michael reports :-
A group of 26 of us set off from Worton in the pleasant summer sunshine. We found a nice spot for morning coffee on Brough Scar before descending into Bainbridge. Some of our more young at heart members couldn’t resist trying out the childrens playground. We then headed along the old railway path and went up to Shaw Cote Scar where we sat on the hillside in the sunshine for our lunch. We then walked over fields to Skell Gill taking in fine views of Addlebrough. Our route took us through Mill Gill to the pretty village of Askrigg where we just had to stop for an icecream. It was then just about a mile over the field paths back to Worton. Our post walk refreshments were taken at the quirky Victoria Arms which is certainly an experience!
