Marg reports.

Richard decided to have a re run ( or rather re walk) of the Darlington to Richmond walk that we did for the club’s 75th anniversary.
8 of us met in the market place on a very wet morning. We made our way to Victoria Embankment then through the South Park to the A66 bypass.
Crossing the road it was then onto Croft and then Middleton Tyres where we had our lunch stop in the shelter of the trees
From there we headed to Scotch Corner. Crossing the road here was much easier this time thanks to the new pedestrians crossings
After a short walk along the A66 it was through Sedbury Park and onto Gilling West
from where we made our way through Ask Hall estate then through the golf course. No chance of being hit by any balls the course was waterlogged.
It wasn’t long until we were able to finally see Richmond
Across a couple of fields and then down the path and our final destination Wetherspoons. It was off with the waterproofs and into the warm and dry pub for a well earned pint and in time to see Wales win the grand slam and six nations championship
After a meal and a couple of drinks it was the bus back to Darlo
A great day out
